Nava Dance Immersion

Lisbon, Portugal- July 4-5

This weekend offers a deep immersion into the essence of the Nava Dance format while also introducing Nava Movement—a newer modality that weaves somatic wisdom with the core practices of Nava Dance, bringing heightened awareness to breath, sensation, and embodied presence.

We will also explore traditional Central Asian dance roots, with a particular focus on Tajik dance styles that have deeply imprinted on the aesthetic form of Nava Dance.

We will practice the art of sacred circle dance and explore the importance of the circle as a healing ritual embodiment passed down through generations. In the circle, we look into each other's eyes; we become equal and allow ourselves to dissolve into the greater whole, remembering our essential unity. Together we create a living representation of the circle of life—the cycles of time, the sun, the moon, the cosmos, and the movements of nature.
